NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Condemns Attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Expresses Solidarity with KSA

Islamabad, , 2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has strongly condemned the gruesome attack carried out by the Houthi militia on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, expressing profound grief over the loss of 12 precious civilian lives, including four nationals of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and citizens of other friendly countries, namely Palestine, Bangladesh, Syria, the United States, Egypt, Jordan and Sudan. He also expressed deep concern over the hundreds of people injured in the attack. On his own behalf and on behalf of the Parliament of Pakistan, he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and shared in the grief of the affected nations.
The Speaker National Assembly extended his sincere condolences to the leadership and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other affected countries. He prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the martyrs the highest ranks in Jannat-ul-Firdous and bless the injured with a swift and complete recovery. He said that the loss of innocent lives was deeply distressing and that such acts of violence posed a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
Strongly condemning the targeting of civilians and critical infrastructure, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq termed such attacks utterly unacceptable and a grave violation of international law. He emphasized the need to end such acts of violence to safeguard regional peace, security and stability.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that Pakistan and the Kingdom enjoy longstanding fraternal relations rooted in mutual trust, brotherhood and close defence ties. He underscored Pakistan’s firm commitment to standing by KSA in safeguarding its sovereignty, territorial integrity and security. He also expressed solidarity with the leadership and people of all other affected friendly countries.
Deputy Speaker National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah also strongly condemned the attack and expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He conveyed his sympathies to the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia and other affected countries, prayed for the departed souls and the speedy recovery of the injured, and underscored the importance of collective efforts to promote peace, security and stability in the region.
