Islamabad, 5 September 2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has paid rich tribute to the martyrs and ghazis of the 1965 war, saying that the brave soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces rendered matchless sacrifices for the defence of the motherland and demonstrated exceptional courage, bravery and professionalism.
NA Speaker said that during the 1965 war, the Pakistan Armed Forces confronted a much larger enemy force with courage and determination, defeated it on every front and foiled its nefarious designs against Pakistan.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that the unity and solidarity demonstrated by the Pakistani nation during the 1965 war, when the people stood firmly alongside their Armed Forces, represented a glorious chapter in the country’s history. He expressed these views in his message on Defence Day, observed every year with national spirit to pay tribute to the martyrs and ghazis of the 1965 war.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that the Pakistan Armed Forces demonstrated extraordinary courage, bravery, professional competence and patriotism during the 1965 war and shattered the arrogance of the enemy.
NA Speaker said that the martyrs are the true heroes of the nation who sacrifice their today for the bright and safe future of the country. The nation, he added, shall always remember their great sacrifices with the utmost respect and reverence.
While paying tribute to the exceptional courage, bravery and professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces during Marka-e-Haq, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that, under the leadership of Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Armed Forces effectively thwarted the enemy’s nefarious designs. He said that the nation and the Armed Forces once again demonstrated Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity and national interests.
He said that the steadfastness and national unity demonstrated by the people while standing shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Armed Forces during Marka-e-Haq reflected the strong bond of trust between the nation and the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that under the leadership of Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Armed Forces of Pakistan played a significant role not only in safeguarding the country’s defence and security but also in promoting peace and stability in the region.
Referring to the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, NA Speaker said that the agreement reflected a shared commitment to mutual defence cooperation, regional security and peace. He reiterated that Pakistan desired peace and would continue to play a positive role in promoting sustainable peace, stability and cooperation in the region through enhanced defence cooperation.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also paid tribute to the officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces who had rendered great sacrifices in the war against terrorism. He said that their determination and resolve to eliminate the menace of terrorism was a matter of great pride for the nation. He added that successful operations against terrorist elements reflected the unwavering commitment of the security forces to protecting the lives and property of the people and safeguarding the sovereignty of the state.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that the Armed Forces of Pakistan had not only rendered sacrifices during wars against the country’s enemies but had always remained at the forefront whenever the nation faced a crisis or difficult situation. He said that during natural disasters, the brave personnel of the Armed Forces had risked their lives to assist affected people and protect their lives and property.
Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq prayed to Allah Almighty for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for peace, security, progress and prosperity in the country.

اسلام آباد، 5 ستمبر 2026ء: اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی سردار ایاز صادق نے 1965ء کی جنگ کے شہداء اور غازیوں کو خراجِ عقیدت پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ 1965ء کی جنگ میں پاک افواج کے بہادر جوانوں نے مادرِ وطن کے دفاع کے لیے لازوال قربانیاں پیش کیں اور بے مثال جرأت، بہادری اور پیشہ ورانہ مہارت کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے اپنے سے کئی گنا بڑی فوج کو ہر محاذ پر شکست سے دوچار کیا اور اس کے مذموم عزائم کو خاک میں ملا دیا۔
اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے کہا کہ پاکستانی قوم نے 1965ء کی جنگ کے دوران جس اتحاد و یکجہتی کا مظاہرہ کیا اور اپنی مسلح افواج کے شانہ بشانہ کھڑی رہی، وہ ہماری قومی تاریخ کا ایک درخشاں باب ہے۔ ان خیالات کا اظہار انہوں یومِ دفاع کے موقع پر کیا، جو ہر سال 1965 کی جنگ کے شہداء اور غازیوں کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرنے کیلئے قومی جوش و جذبے کے ساتھ منایا جاتا ہے۔
اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے کہا کہ افواجِ پاکستان نے 1965ء کی جنگ کے دوران غیر معمولی جرأت، بہادری، پیشہ ورانہ مہارت اور جذبہ حب الوطنی کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے بزدل دشمن کے غرور کو خاک میں ملا دیا۔
اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے کہا کہ شہداء قوم کے حقیقی ہیروز ہیں، جنہوں نے اپنا آج قوم کے روشن اور محفوظ مستقبل کے لیے قربان کیا۔ قوم ان کی عظیم قربانیوں کو ہمیشہ عقیدت و احترام سے یاد رکھے گی۔
اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے معرکۂ حق میں افواج پاکستان کی بے مثال جرات، بہادری اور پیشہ ورانہ صلاحیتوں کو خراج تحسین پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ چیف آف ڈیفنس فورسز فیلڈ مارشل سید عاصم منیر کی مدبرانہ قیادت میں افواجِ پاکستان نے اپنی پیشہ ورانہ صلاحیتوں کو بھرپور انداز میں بروئے کار لاتے ہوئے دشمن کے مذموم عزائم کو ناکام بنایا اور ثابت کیا کہ پاکستان اپنی خودمختاری، علاقائی سالمیت اور قومی مفادات کے دفاع کی مکمل صلاحیت رکھتا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ معرکۂ حق میں قوم جس ثابت قدمی اور قومی یکجہتی کے ساتھ افواجِ پاکستان کے شانہ بشانہ کھڑی رہی، وہ قوم اور ریاستی اداروں کے درمیان اعتماد کے مضبوط رشتے کی عکاسی کرتی ہے۔
اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے کہا کہ چیف آف ڈیفنس فورسز فیلڈ مارشل سید عاصم منیر کی قیادت میں افواجِ پاکستان نے ملکی دفاع اور سلامتی کے ساتھ ساتھ خطے میں امن و استحکام کے فروغ کے لیے بھی بھرپور کردار ادا کیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان، ترکی اور سعودی عرب کے درمیان مکہ جوائنٹ ڈیفنس ایگریمنٹ باہمی دفاعی تعاون، علاقائی سلامتی اور امن کے عزم کا مظہر ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان امن کا خواہاں ہے اور دفاعی تعاون کے ذریعے خطے میں پائیدار امن، استحکام اور باہمی تعاون کے فروغ کے لیے اپنا مثبت کردار جاری رکھے گا۔
اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے کہا کہ دہشتگردی کے خلاف جنگ میں مسلح افواج کے جری افسران اور جوانوں نے جو قربانیاں پیش کیں اور اس ناسور کے خاتمے کے لیے جس عزم و استقلال کا مظاہرہ کیا وہ قوم کے لئے باعث فخر ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ دہشت گرد عناصر کے خلاف سیکیورٹی فورسز کی کامیاب کارروائیاں عوام کی جان و مال اور ریاستی خودمختاری کے تحفظ کے لیے سیکیورٹی فورسز کے غیر متزلزل عزم کا اظہار ہیں۔
اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق نے کہا کہ پاکستان کی مسلح افواجِ نے نا صرف دشمن سے جنگوں کے دوران قربانیاں پیش کیں بلکہ جب بھی وطن عزیز کو کسی مشکل یا آزمائش کا سامنا پڑا مسلح افواج نے ہمیشہ ہر اول دستے کا کردار ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ قدرتی آفات کے دوران مسلح افواج کے بہادر جوانوں نے اپنی جان کی پرواہ کیے بغیر متاثرین کی مدد کی اور انکے جان و مال کے تحفظ کو یقینی بنایا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ قوم افواج پاکستان کی ان خدمات کو قدر کی نگاہ سے دیکھتی ہے۔
اس موقع پر اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی سردار ایاز صادق نے اللہ تعالیٰ سے شہداء کے درجات کی بلندی اور وطن عزیز کو امن، سلامتی، ترقی اور خوشحالی عطا فرمانے کی دعا کی۔
