Islamabad, August 14, 2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq attended the special City Parade as Chief Guest, organized by the Ministry of Interior in connection with the 79th Independence Day, on the invitation of Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Raza Naqvi.

 

The Speaker extended his heartfelt felicitations to the participants of the City Parade and the entire nation on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day. He said that Independence Day reminds us of the historic struggle and countless sacrifices rendered by the founders of Pakistan and our forefathers during the freedom movement.

 

The Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq paid tribute to the police force and other law-enforcement agencies for their outstanding performances during the City Parade. He also appreciated the impressive performances by artists who presented cultural programmes and national songs, reflecting Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and spirit of patriotism .

 

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq appreciated the Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Raza Naqvi and his team for making excellent arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations. He said that such events play an important role in promoting national unity, harmony and patriotism.

 

The Speaker said that Pakistan’s independence was achieved through the tireless struggle, unwavering commitment and countless sacrifices of our forefathers. He emphasized the need to renew our collective resolve to further strengthen Pakistan through national unity, adherence to the Constitution and democratic values for a stronger, stable and prosperous country.
