Islamabad, 8th July  2026: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq paid rich tribute to the legendary philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi on the occasion of his 10th death anniversary, describing him as an enduring symbol of compassion, selflessness and humanitarian service.

 

The Speaker said that Abdul Sattar Edhi devoted his entire life to serving humanity without distinction of race, religion, ethnicity or social status. Through his unparalleled commitment to the welfare of the underprivileged, the sick and the destitute, he set an extraordinary example of generosity and public service that continues to inspire people across the world.

 

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq remarked that Edhi's selfless contributions to society have earned him a permanent place in the hearts of the nation. He said that Edhi's remarkable humanitarian legacy serves as a beacon of hope and compassion for present and future generations.

 

The Speaker emphasized that carrying forward Abdul Sattar Edhi's mission of serving humanity is a collective national responsibility. He urged every citizen to embrace the values of kindness, empathy and public service that defined Edhi's life.

 

Praying for the departed soul, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq asked Almighty Allah to elevate the ranks of Abdul Sattar Edhi in the Hereafter and grant strength and patience to his family and loved ones.
