Islamabad, 19th May 2026; Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, met a delegation of civil servants from Bangladesh at the Parliament House, Islamabad, today. During the meeting, the Speaker warmly welcomed the delegation and highlighted the longstanding historical, cultural, and people-to-people relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq shared details of his recent visit to Bangladesh to attend the funeral of former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and BNP Chairperson, Begum Khaleda Zia. He stated that he represented Pakistan on the occasion and conveyed condolences on behalf of the people and Parliament of Pakistan. He remarked that the affection and warmth extended by the people and leadership of Bangladesh towards Pakistan reflected a shared desire for enhanced parliamentary and diplomatic engagement between the two countries.

 

 Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq informed the participants that strengthening democratic institutions, ensuring transparency, and modernizing parliamentary procedures remained his top priority.the Speaker also stated that the National Assembly was moving towards becoming a fully digital and paperless Parliament. He said that iPads had been provided to Members of the National Assembly to facilitate digital access to parliamentary business, legislation, agendas, and committee proceedings. He emphasized that this initiative would not only improve efficiency and transparency but would also help save public resources and promote environmentally sustainable parliamentary practices.

 

The Speaker further said that efforts are underway to integrate modern technology and artificial intelligence into parliamentary functioning to enhance institutional efficiency, research capacity, and legislative performance. He said that the digitalization of Parliament was essential to meet the requirements of modern governance and public service delivery.

 

During the interaction, the Speaker also said that the role of Parliament in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is essential.He underscored Parliament’s commitment to legislation and policy reforms focused on education, gender equality, climate action, poverty alleviation, and inclusive development.

 

The Speaker also reiterated that the active role of the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) in promoting women’s empowerment, gender-sensitive legislation, and greater participation of women in democratic processes. He noted that the National Assembly of Pakistan had taken several important steps to strengthen women’s representation and safeguard their rights through effective parliamentary oversight and legislation.

 

The delegation appreciated the parliamentary reforms and digital initiatives undertaken under the leadership of Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and expressed keen interest in enhanced parliamentary cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two countries.

 

 

اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی سردار ایاز صادق سے بنگلہ دیشی سول سرونٹس وفد کی ملاقات

 

اسلام آباد: 19 مئی 2026: اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی سردار ایاز صادق سے آج پارلیمنٹ ہاؤس اسلام آباد میں بنگلہ دیش سے آئے سول سرونٹس کے وفد نے ملاقات کی۔ ملاقات کے دوران اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے وفد کا پرتپاک استقبال کرتے ہوئے پاکستان اور بنگلہ دیش کے درمیان تاریخی، ثقافتی اور عوامی روابط کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کیا۔

 

اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی سردار ایاز صادق نے بنگلہ دیش کے اپنے حالیہ دورے کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ انہوں نے بنگلہ دیش کی سابق وزیر اعظم اور بی این پی کی چیئرپرسن بیگم خالدہ ضیاء کے جنازے میں شرکت کی، جہاں انہوں نے پاکستان کی نمائندگی کرتے ہوئے پاکستان کے عوام اور پارلیمنٹ کی جانب سے تعزیت کا اظہار کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بنگلہ دیشی عوام اور قیادت کی جانب سے پاکستان کے لیے محبت اور گرمجوشی دونوں ممالک کے درمیان پارلیمانی اور سفارتی تعلقات کو مزید فروغ دینے کی خواہش کی عکاس ہے۔

 

اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے وفد کو قومی اسمبلی پاکستان کے طریقہ کار اور اپنی قیادت میں متعارف کروائی گئی مختلف پارلیمانی اصلاحات سے آگاہ کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جمہوری اداروں کو مضبوط بنانا، شفافیت کو یقینی بنانا اور پارلیمانی طریقہ کار کو جدید تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ کرنا ان کی اولین ترجیحات میں شامل ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ قومی اسمبلی کو مکمل طور پر ڈیجیٹل اور پیپر لیس پارلیمنٹ بنانے کے لیے اقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں اور اراکین قومی اسمبلی کو پارلیمانی کارروائی، قانون سازی، ایجنڈا اور کمیٹی کارروائیوں تک ڈیجیٹل رسائی فراہم کرنے کے لیے آئی پیڈز مہیا کیے گئے ہیں۔ اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے کہا کہ اس اقدام سے نہ صرف کارکردگی اور شفافیت میں بہتری آئے گی بلکہ قومی وسائل کی بچت اور ماحول دوست پارلیمانی روایات کے فروغ میں بھی مدد ملے گی۔

 

اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے وفد کو پارلیمانی امور میں جدید ٹیکنالوجی اور مصنوعی ذہانت کے استعمال سے متعلق جاری اقدامات سے بھی آگاہ کیا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ ان اقدامات کا مقصد ادارہ جاتی استعداد، تحقیقی صلاحیت اور قانون سازی کے عمل کو مزید مؤثر بنانا ہے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ جدید طرز حکمرانی اور عوامی خدمت کے تقاضوں کو پورا کرنے کے لیے پارلیمنٹ کی ڈیجیٹلائزیشن ناگزیر ہے۔

 

انہوں نے اقوام متحدہ کے پائیدار ترقیاتی اہداف (SDGs) کے حصول میں پارلیمنٹ کے کردار پر بھی روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے کہا کہ پارلیمنٹ تعلیم، صنفی مساوات، ماحولیاتی تحفظ، غربت کے خاتمے اور جامع ترقی سے متعلق قانون سازی اور پالیسی اصلاحات کے لیے پرعزم ہے۔ اس موقع پر اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے خواتین کی پارلیمانی کاکس کے فعال کردار کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ فورم خواتین کو بااختیار بنانے، صنفی حساس قانون سازی اور جمہوری عمل میں خواتین کی مؤثر شمولیت کے فروغ کے لیے اہم کردار ادا کر رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ قومی اسمبلی پاکستان نے خواتین کی نمائندگی مضبوط بنانے اور مؤثر پارلیمانی نگرانی و قانون سازی کے ذریعے ان کے حقوق کے تحفظ کے لیے متعدد اہم اقدامات کیے ہیں۔

 

بنگلہ دیشی وفد نے اسپیکر سردار ایاز صادق کی قیادت میں متعارف کروائی گئی پارلیمانی اصلاحات اور ڈیجیٹل اقدامات کو سراہتے ہوئے دونوں ممالک کے درمیان پارلیمانی تعاون اور تجربات کے تبادلے کو مزید فروغ دینے میں گہری دلچسپی کا اظہار کیا۔
