Islamabad, January 26th, 2026: 11th Meeting of the Standing Committee on Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) was held today at 02:00 p.m. in the Committee Room of the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC), 2nd Floor, Kohsar Block, Pak-Secretariat, Islamabad, under the Chairmanship of Mr. Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, MNA.

The Committee discussed the process of election of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) through Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) election commission. The ministry briefed the Committee that the Pakistan Sports Board and the Hockey Federation will jointly form a scrutiny Committee.
The portal for registration in the AAP federation was opened for five days. No club in Islamabad met the scrutiny. The committee suggested that the portal of the Sports Board's Election Commission be reopened.
 
When asked by the committee about irregularities related to registration, the ministry replied that no fake clubs will be registered. Club championships have been started from every district. 1100 clubs will be checked. In case of grievances, if the Hockey Federation does not resolve the complaints within three days, the IPC ministry will look into the matter.
   
The ministry will submit a report to the committee after the scrutiny process is completed. The committee directed that the ministry take notice against those conducting commercial activities in hockey grounds

The Committee constituted a Sub-Committee under the convenorship of Dr. Mehreen Razzaq Bhutto, MNA with Mr. Anjum Aqeel Khan and Khawaja Izhar Ul Hassan under the TOR’s.

1) Year-wise major achievements of the Pakistan Sports Board for the last 5 financial years.
2) Development and non-development funds along with amounts reserved, released and utilized during the said period.
3) Details of grants provided, including purpose, amount, and beneficiary organizations, year-wise
4) Details of audit objections of aforesaid years which could not be settled through statutory forums, along with reasons for non-settlement.


The meeting was attended by Mr. Anjum Aqeel Khan, Mr. Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan Nasar (Zoom), Mr. Haji Rasool Bax Chandio, Ms. Syeda Shehla Raza, Dr. Mahreen Razzaq Bhutto, Mr. Khawaja Izhar Ul Hassan, Mr. Babar Nawaz Khan, Mr. Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, Mr. Muhammad Idrees MNA’s and Senior Officers from the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) were present in the meeting.
