Standing Committee on Inter Provincial Coordination meets

Islamabad, 29th November, 2024: The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Inter Provincial Coordination met today in the Committee Room of the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination under the Chairmanship of Mr. Muhammad Sana Ullah Khan Mastikhel, MNA, The meeting included a briefing on the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), as well as discussions on Pakistan Kabaddi Federations.  
 
2. The Chairman of the Normalization Committee (NC) of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) briefed the Committee regarding the ongoing electoral process aimed at restoring the democratic electoral structure of football governance in Pakistan. He provided an update the district, provincial and Federation- level election process. 
3. During the briefing, the Chairman, NC apprised the Committee that the NC was mandated to complete the electoral process for the Pakistan Football Federation, spanning from 2021 to its culmination by December 15, 2024. He outlined the progress of district-level elections and the subsequent steps for provincial and federation-level elections. 
 4.         However, the Committee expressed dissatisfaction with the provided briefing, because the said briefing was not provided to the Committee members in advance. Consequently, the Chairman of the Normalization Committee was directed to submit a comprehensive report on the electoral progress of the Pakistan Football Federation in both hard and soft copies within seven days. The Committee stressed the importance of transparency, adherence to deadlines, and ensuring a fair and inclusive electoral process to safeguard the future of football in Pakistan.
5.         The meeting was adjourned, with the expectation that the NC will meet its obligations and facilitating free and fair elections.  
The meeting was attended by Mr. Anjum Aqeel Khan, Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan Nasir, Dr. Mahreen Razzaq Bhutto, Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Khawaja Izhar Ul Hassan, Sayed Sami Ullah and Ms. Shaista Khan MNA’s along with the Secretary of IPC, Chairman Normalization Committee, Secretary General Kabaddi Federation other officials from the ministry & attached departments.
