Ambassador of Iran H.E. Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam calls on NA Speaker

Transformation of historically enriched Pak-Iran ties into trade relations is essential for mutual progress, says NA Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf

Islamabad: 1st August 2023: Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf stated that both Iran and Pakistan enjoy cordial ties based on enriched history of religious and cultural ties. He further said that friendly ties between both countries are pivotal for regional peace and stability.  He also emphasized on the need to transform these ties into trade relations. He expressed these views during his meeting with Ambassador of Iran, H.E. Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam, who called on him in Parliament House, today.

While appreciating the hospitality extended by Iranian people and its government for facilitating Pakistani visitors in Iran, he said that Pakistan and Iran both have vast opportunity of trade and economic cooperation. Speaker NA also stated that enhancing Inter-Parliamentary cooperation would further strengthen ties between both nations.

The Speaker expressed confidence and hope in the recently nominated Ambassador, while stating that he will bring both nations closer as he is a seasoned and experienced diplomat.

Iranian Ambassador strongly condemned the bomb blast in Khar, Bajaur Agency. He expressed grief and extended condolences to bereaved families. Iranian Ambassador was also of the view that both countries should seize all possible economic opportunities to enhance the trade ties between them.

پاک ایران تاریخی تعلقات کو تجارتی تعلقات میں تبدیل کرنا باہمی ترقی کے لیے ضروری ہے: اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی

اسلام آباد: یکم اگست 2023: اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی راجہ پرویز اشرف نے کہا ہے کہ ایران اور پاکستان دونوں کے درمیان مذہبی اور ثقافتی تعلقات پر مبنی خوشگوار تعلقات ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ دونوں ممالک کے درمیان دوستانہ تعلقات علاقائی امن و استحکام کے لیے اہم ہیں۔ انہوں نے ان تعلقات کو تجارتی تعلقات میں تبدیل کرنے کی ضرورت پر بھی زور دیا۔ ان خیالات کا اظہار انہوں نے ایران کے سفیر H.E Dr Reza Amiri Moghaddam سے ملاقات کے دوران کیا جنہوں نے آج پارلیمنٹ ہاؤس میں ان سے ملاقات کی۔

اسپیکر قومی اسمبلی نے ایران میں پاکستانی زائرین کو سہولت فراہم کرنے پر ایرانی عوام اور اس کی حکومت کی جانب سے مہمان نوازی کو سراہا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان اور ایران دونوں کے درمیان تجارتی اور اقتصادی تعاون کے وسیع مواقع موجود ہیں۔ اسپیکر نے یہ بھی کہا کہ پارلیمنٹ سے پارلیمنٹ کے روابط بڑھانے سے دونوں ممالک کے درمیان تعلقات مزید مضبوط ہوں گے ۔

ایرانی سفیر نے خار باجوڑ ایجنسی میں بم دھماکے کی شدید مذمت کرتے ہوئے سوگوار خاندانوں سے دکھ اور تعزیت کا اظہار کیا۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی کہا کہ دونوں ممالک کے درمیان تجارتی تعلقات کو بڑھانے کے وسیع مواقع موجود ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان اور ایران کے پاس تجارتی راستے تلاش کرنے کے وسیع مواقع ہیں۔
