First Deputy Speaker of Libya House of Representative along with a Parliamentary delegation called on Chairman PAC

Islamabad: 15th December 2022; First Deputy Speaker of Libya House of Representatives Mr. Fawzi Al-Taher Al Nuwairi called on Chairman Public Accounts Committee ( PAC) Mr. Noor Alam Khan at Parliament House today.

Chairman PAC Mr. Noor Alam Khan said that Libya and Pakistan enjoy cordial and brotherly relations. He also said that the visit of the Libyan Parliamentary delegation would further strengthen ties between both nations." He further invited the President of Libya for an official visit to Pakistan. He also expressed gratitude for taking care of Pakistani manpower in Libya.

Chairman PAC also asked for the initiation of direct flights from Libya to Pakistan and from Pakistan to Libya. He said that this initiative would facilitate a large number of Pakistani diaspora serving in Libya. He said that Pakistan has a skillful population who can play a pivotal part in the progress of both countries.

SAPM/ MNA Muhammad Junaid Anwar was also present at the meeting. He warmly welcomed the Libyian Parliamentary delegation visit to Pakistan. He said that Pakistan and entire Muslim Ummah are facing the challenges of islamophobia, and it is time that they stand and step forward together against all conspirators and propagandists.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation Mr. Faisel Kareem also briefed the delegation regarding the basic components of the Benazir Income Support Programme and other initiatives to protect the vulnerable segment of society.

First Deputy Speaker of Libya House of Representatives Mr. Fawzi Al-Taher Al Nuwairi expressed gratitude for a warm welcome. He said that   Pakistan and Libya have a long history of bilateral friendly relations and Parliament to parliament contacts between the Parliaments of both countries would strengthen ties between both nations.
