Tuesday, 21st March, 2023

Islamabad:20th March 2023: National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf and Deputy Speaker Zahid Akram Durrani express heartfelt greetings to the people of Iran and all those celebrating Nowruz, which marks the Persian New Year and the beginning of spring. This joyous occasion reminds us of the significance of hope and the importance of coming together in harmony and diversity.
As we celebrate Nowruz, we also commemorate the 76th year of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Iran. Iran was one of the first countries to recognize Pakistan's independence, and our two nations have enjoyed strong and enduring ties since then. The festival of Nowruz provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the values that bring us together and to reaffirm our commitment to fostering prosperity and solidarity between the two nations.
We hope that this year's Nowruz brings peace, happiness, and prosperity to all and that it serves as a reminder of the friendship and cooperation between the people of Pakistan and Iran.
