Islamabad, 17thJune, 2019; 2nd meeting of the Standing Committee on Communicationswas held today under the Chairmanship ofMr. Ibadullah Khan, MNA. The meeting commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran.

2. The Secretary Ministry of Communicationspresented an overview about the organizations, functions, objectives, achievements, revenue, and budget of the Ministry. He apprised the Committee that the Ministry comprises a dynamic team. He assured full cooperation with the Standing Committee in the best interest of the Country.
 
3. The Chairman, National Highways Authority (NHA), presented an overall view of the NHA. He briefed the Standing Committee about the organizational structure; PSDP allocations2018-19 and its utilization 2018-19;NHAPortfolio,NHAnetwork, motorway network, major ongoing highway projects and CPEC’s western, central and eastern alignments/routs. The Committee desired an early completion of the remaining part of Havalian – Thahkot route.
 
4. Hon. Members/MNAsPrince Muhammad Nawaz Allai, Mr. Saleh Muhammad,  Engr. Usman Khan Tarakai, Mr. Imran Khattak,Mr. Muhammad Aslam Khan, Mir Khan Muhammad Jamali, Mr. Jai Parkash,  Mr. UsamaQadri, Mr. MurtazaJavedAbbasi,Moulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali, and the senior officers from the Ministry and its organizations attended the meeting.
