Parliamentary Research Service

Research Wing of the National Assembly of Pakistan provides non partisan, relevant and authoritative research support to assists legislators in fulfilling their individual Parliamentary functions in addition to extend assistance to various House Committees, External Affairs and Inter Parliamentary Relations in line with their Parliamentary duties and perform a knowledge management role by organizing and re- purposing information materials generated through all available open sources.


Ensuring unhindered assistance to legislatures and its various legislative arms by providing impartial, relevant, timely and authoritative information and analysis to parliamentarians. In view of a new challenge, with ever-increasing diversity in the World of information explosion and a serious risk of information overload for parliamentarians, who work under great pressure, there is need for creating conducive research environment for an extended understanding between members and research staff for desired results. By encouraging diversified but creative approaches to day to day issues for robust analysis and in-depth study the small but dedicated research team believes in quality contribution also on anticipating legislative requirements and its timely response.
