Monday, 10th June, 2019

Islamabad; June 10, 2019: Speaker, National Assembly Mr. Asad Qaiser has said that brutal murder of three innocent brothers in District Charsadda was a heinous crime and the perpetrators should be apprehended and awarded exemplary punishment for creating deterrence. He directed the Ministry of Interior to actively pursue the case in coordination with concerned departments. He said this while participating in the meeting of the Standing Committee on Interior held in Islamabad today. The Committee met on the direction of Speaker National Assembly to discuss the brutal murder of three innocent brothers.

The Speaker said that judicious inquiry and award exemplary punishment to the accused would not only create deterrence against such crimes but also dispense justice to the family of the deceased. He directed the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Mardan to personally monitor the investigation process and keep the Standing Committee as well as his office posted on the development on the case. He also asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to pursue the repatriation of the main accused that had fled the country to Malaysia. The DIG Mardan was asked to make efforts to apprehend the third accused who was still at large. The Speaker also recommended for payment of compensation to the family of the deceased as their breadwinners had been murdered.
