Standing Committee On Foreign Affairs Meets

Islamabad; 14th May, 2019: Meeting of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs was held in Parliament House, Islamabad this Morning with Malik Muhammad Ehsan Ullah Tiwana, Chairman in the chair.
 
The Committee directed that M/o Foreign Affairs may timely clear the misconceptions of electronic and print media news to avoid embarrassment among the public so that people could know about the ground realities of international issues 
 
The Committee directed that M/o Foreign Affairs may develop proper liaison with M/o Commerce to enhance Pakistani exports as it had been observed that Pakistani Basmati Rice was being sold on Indian tag in international markets. The Committee further directed that Pakistani Ambassadors may also evaluate the performance of commercial attachés in collaboration with M/o Commerce to achieve the targets set by the government.
 
The Committee directed that M/o Foreign Affairs may take stringent measures for early release of 2107 Pakistani prisoners detained in Saudi Jails as promised by Saudi Crown Prince and provide them full assistance to remove procedural complications.
 
Earlier, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs briefly apprised the Committee about the efforts made by them to cope with the international issues and problems faced by them in this regards.
 
The meeting was attended by Mr. Muhammad Ameer Sultan, MNA Syed Fakhar Imam, MNA Makhdoom Zain Hussain Qureshi, MNA, Ms. Munaza Hassan, MNA, Mr. Fazal Muhammad Khan, MNA, Ms. Maleeka Ali Bukhari, MNA Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, MNA Mr. Ali Zahid, MNA, Ms. Mehnaz Akbar Aziz, MNA, Ms. Zahra Wadood Fatemi, MNA and officials of M/o Foreign Affairs.
