Karachi 27th September, 2017 Meeting of the Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat held in Pakistan International Airline (PIA), Headquarters, Karachi this Morning with Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan, MNA in the chair.

i)            “The Health Insurance for Disabled Persons Bill, 2017” (moved by Dr. Nikhat Shakeel Khan, MNA)

ii)            “The Federal Employees Benevolent Fund and Group Insurance (Amendment) Bill, 2017(moved by Dr. Nikhat Shakeel Khan, MNA)

iii)            The National Conflict of Interest Bill,2016 (moved by Mr. Murad Saeed, MNA)

The Committee deferred all the above mentioned Bills till its next meeting for further discussion.

The Committee expressed annoyance over the poor performance of PIA as it was unable to improve the performance since many years of PIA. The Committee therefore, directed that PIA may take stringent measures to compete internationally by improving the performance of PIA in order to make it viable entity.

The Committee further directed that PIA may transfer all officers working on the same post since last three years and unable to deliver properly under intimation to the Secretariat.

The Committee further directed that FIA may complete all inquiry report of PIA and fix responsibility in order to bring the culprits behind the bars.

Later,  the Committee visited Mazar-e-Quied and offered Fateha for the departed soul.
