Ms. Zeb Jaffar, MNA and Convener of Pakistan- Norway Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) met with H.E. Mr. Per Albert Ilsaas, Ambassador of Norway to Pakistan on Friday, 9th December, 2022 at 1130 hours at the Norwegian Embassy, Islamabad. The two sides discussed matters pertaining to bilateral cooperation.
Convener Pakistan- Norway PFG, Ms. Zeb Jaffar, said that Pakistan had long standing relations with Norway and looking forward to further strengthening ties. She underscored Pakistan’s desire to build a broad based, substantive and long-term relationship with Norway in all fields.
Ms. Zeb Jaffar appreciated the Norwegian government for providing timely assistance for the flood affected people in Pakistan. She emphasized the need for the two countries to work together to address the adverse effects of Climate Change.
Ms. Zeb highlighted the need to enhance contacts between parliamentarians of the two countries to further strengthen bilateral relations.She also expressed her desire to expand cooperation with Norway in multiple areas including trade, education, technical education, artificial intelligence, exchange programs, IT Sector, renewable energy, and people -to- people relations.
Ambassador of Norway to Pakistan, H.E Per Albert Ilsaas agreed to focus on strengthening bilateral institutional collaboration; enhance frequency of exchange of delegations as well as increasing high level contacts and exploring new avenues of cooperation
