The Sitting of the National Assembly has been adjourned to meet again on Monday, the 6th February, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.| In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of the Article 54 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan , the President has been pleased to summon the Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) to meet in Joint Sitting in the Parliament House, Islamabad, on Wednesday, the 8th February, 2023 at 3.00 p.m.|

The visit of the Chairman of the Lower House of Kazakhstan first of its kind in the history of Pak-Kazakhstan bilateral ties
 
Islamabad: 9th December; Upon the special invitation of the Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf, a high-level Parliamentary delegation of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan led by Chairman of Mazhilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan Mr. Yerlan Koshanov is arriving in Islamabad on three days official visit on Sunday 11th December 2022.
 
It is pertinent to mention that both Pakistan and Kazakhstan enjoy cordial relations based on mutual values and shared economic interests. Kazakhstan, being an important country among the Central Asian Republics (CARs), exercises sizable influence within the CARs. The Parliament of Kazakhstan is also a Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Economic Cooperation Organization (PAECO). This visit would not only serve as a tool in promoting the scope of cooperation between the two sides but also supplement the endeavors of the governments in broadening and deepening the bilateral ties in order to transform them; into necessary people-to-people contacts.
 
The Year 2022 marks the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both brotherly countries and this visit of the Chairman of the Lower House of Kazakhstan is the first-ever in the 30 years history of bilateral relations between both countries.
 
During its stay in Islamabad, besides meeting with the Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf, Kazakhstan Delegation would also call on the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Chairman Senate and Members of Pak-Kazakhstan Parliamentary Friendship Group in Parliament House. The delegation will also visit historical and cultural places in Islamabad.
 
The Parliamentary delegation of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan comprises of Mr. Yerlan Koshanov Chairman of Parliament of Kazakhstan, Mr. Aigul Kuspan Chairman of the Committee for International Affairs, Defense and Security, Mr. Darkhan Mynbay Head of Kazakhstan-Pak PFG, Mr. Amanzhol Altai Member of Committee for Social and Cultural Development, Mr. Serik Yerunayev and Mr. Yedil Zhanbyrshin Members of Committee for Environmental and Natural Resources, Mr. Gaziz Kulakhmetov Member of Committee for Economic Reform and Regional Development, Mr. Renat Aitayev Head of Staff of Parliament of Kazakhstan.
