Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has visited the house of Senator Begum Najma Hameed, the former president of the women's wing of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. The Speaker offered Fatiha for the departed soul of Begum Najma Hameed. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to MNA Ms.Tahira Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb and other members of the bereaved family.
The Speaker also paid tribute to the political and social services of the deceased. He said that Begum Najma Hameed was a sincere, poor-loving and dignified political leader. His services for democracy will always be remembered. He further said that the vacuum created by her death will not be filled soon.
