Pakistan Parliamentary Delegation Met With Chairman And Members Human Rights Committee Of The Grand National Assembly Turkey

8-March, 2022; A six-member Pakistan Parliamentary delegation led by MNA Niaz Ahmed Jhakar met with the H.E Hakan CAVUSOGLU Chairman Human Rights Committee and Members of the Human Rights Committee of the Grand National Assembly Turkey at Public Relation Building at Turkish Parliament on Tuesday. The Delegation was on an official visit to Turkey.
The meeting underlined the significance of existing relations between Pakistan and Turkey which were based on brotherhood, historical and cultural ties and mutual respect.
Mr. Niaz Ahmed Jhakar, MNA and head of the Parliamentary delegation thanked the Chairman Human Rights Committee and members, all political parties of Turkey and Turkish people to always extend the support to  Pakistan on Kashmir Issue. He reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to extend its support at all forums with regard to cyprus issue.
MNA Ataullah Khan urged to enhance frequent contacts between the two brother countries and appreciated diplomatic and moral support of Turkey for Kashmir and Palestine issues at all International Foras. He acknowledged the role of Turkey for peace and prosperity of the region.
MNA Faheem Khan proposed to establish a joint strategic forum of Pakistan and Turkey to counter negativity spread by West regarding Islamophobia.
He further shared that Pakistan received the highest number of refugees/immigrants , especially with the Soviet Union’s invasion of Afghanistan, that tens of thousands and then millions of Afghans sought refuge in Pakistan.
MNA Javaria Zafar Aheer suggested that following Pakistan,Turkey might form the Women Parliamentary Caucus( WPC). While talking about the strategies of WPC, she added that WPC would help and enhance participation of women in politics, safeguard  women’s rights and gender equality, prevent all sorts of violations and harassments against women, work for the welfare of the women workers, enactment of legislation for the betterment of women etcs.
Chairman H.E Hakan CAVUSOGLU and Members of the Human Rights Committee appreciated the idea of Joint Strategic Forum and WPC.
Chairman Human Rights H.E Hakan CAVUSOGLU mentioned that issue of Kashmir was always close to Turkey and Turkey would always stood by Pakistan and extend support for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.
