CPEC Parliamentary Committee Meets: All Members Reaffirm full support for CPEC as a Strategic National Project Pivotal for Pakistan's future progress and prosperity; Detailed briefing by Ahsan Iqbal and Khawaja Saad Rafiq

Islamabad, January 14, 2016:  The Parliamentary Committee on CPEC met here today under the leadership of its Chairman, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed.  The Committee had in-depth briefing from the Minister for Planning, Development and Reform, Mr. Ahsan Iqbal and Minister for Railways, Kh. Saad Rafiq.  They also addressed all questions and provided their clarifications on the reservations addressed by some members.

The Chinese Ambassador, His Excellency, Mr. Sun Weidong Met Parliamentary Committee on CPEC

Islamabad, December 2nd: Ambassador of China, His Excellency, Mr. Sun Weidong met today with the Parliamentary Committee on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He discussed different projects of CPEC with the Committee. He assured that China would fulfill all its responsibilities to complete this project on time. The prosperity of Pakistan’s people is the prosperity of Chinese people. Pakistan and China have deep rooted and very long lasting friendship. He further explained that China Pakistan Economic Corridor will bring peace and prosperity in the region.
