China to firmly stand by Pakistan, CPEC to be strengthened, taken forward, says Ambassador Yao Jing

Islamabad, May 25, 2017:  The Parliamentary Committee on CPEC, which met here today, at the Parliament House under the Chairmanship of Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, was briefed on Special Economic Zones (SEZs) to be established under the CPEC.  The Chairman of the Privatization Commission, Miftah Ismail briefed the Committee on criterion for establishing SEZs as well as the establishment of such SEZs under the CPEC.  He said that 9 sites for SEZs have been declared priority sites under the CPEC and each province plus Federal area, Gilgit-Baltistan have been allocated SEZs.&

Islamabad, January 16, 2017:  The Parliamentary Committee on CPEC met today under the Chairmanship of Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed.  This was the 20th meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on CPEC and it received a detailed and comprehensive briefing by Minister for Planning, Ahsan Iqbal on the recently concluded 6th meeting of the Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) in Beijing on December 28-29, 2016, which was attended by Chief Ministers of KPK, Sindh, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Islamabad, October 26: Parliamentary Committee on CPEC met today at the Parliament House under its Chairman, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed. The Committee got a detailed and comprehensive briefing from Minister for Planning and Development, Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, who informed the members present that the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC), which is the apex body for the CPEC, will hold its 6th meeting in Beijing on November 28-29, 2016. Before that meeting, the Joint Working Groups will be held during the early part of November.
