The Regional Dialogue on the Role of Parliament in Enhancing Investment, Trade and Industrial Development under CPEC was held at Avari Hotel Lahore. The National Assembly Secretariat jointly organized the event in collaboration with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) and Government of Punjab.

The event was attended by Mr. Sher Ali Arbab Chairman Parliamentary Committee on CPEC, Hon. Members of Parliamentary Committee on CPEC, Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht Minister for Finance Punjab, Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi Minister for Agriculture Punjab, Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Malik, Minister for Energy Punjab, Mr. Peng Zhengwu Chinese Counsel General, Senior Government Officials, Business Community, Academia and Civil Society amongst others.

The Regional Dialogue discussed “CPEC as Harbinger of Industrial and Economic Growth” and “Agriculture Development, Academia and People to People Linkages”.
