Islamabad, 09th September, 2021; 57th meeting of the Standing Committee on Law and Justice was held today under the Chairmanship of Mr. Riaz Fatyana, MNA at 03:00 P.M. in Committee Room No. 7, (4th Floor), Parliament House, Islamabad.

The meeting started with recitation from the Holy Quran then, the Committee decided to proceed with the agenda.

The Committee did not consider the Bills, The Protection of Parents Bill, 2021 (Ordinance No. XII) of 2021 (Government Bill), The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2021 (Article 11 and 25A). Moved by Mr. Amjad Ali Khan, MNA, The Constitution (Amendment) Bill,2021 (Article 11) moved by Ms. Mehnaz Akbar Aziz MNA, and deferred the same till next meeting.

The Committee considered the Bill, The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2021 (Article 1, 51 & 106) Mr. Mohsin Dawar, MNA after detailed discussion the committee deferred the same till next meeting.

The Committee considered the Bill, The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2021 (Article 59) Mr. Mohsin Dawar, MNA after detailed discussion the committee deferred the same till next meeting at request of the mover.

The Committee considered the Bill, The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2021 (Article-37) and The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2021 (Article-36) Mr. Kesoo Mal Khel Das, MNA after detailed discussion the committee recommends that the Bill may not be passed by the Assembly.

The Committee considered the Bill, The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2021 (Article 51 and 106). Mr. Zahid Akram Durrani, MNA; after detailed discussion the committee deferred the same till next meeting with recommendation, that the Election Commission of Pakistan shall formulate the concreate proposal to address the issue highlighted by the Mover.
