Government functionaries, linchpin of the administrative structure of the Government: NA Speaker

ISLAMABAD, 30th Aug 2021: National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has said that government functionaries are linchpin of the administrative structure of the government. He expressed these views while talking to delegation of Provincial Management Services officers under tanning at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Services Academy who called on the Speaker National Assembly at Parliament House on Monday.

While stressing on the need to perform their duties with honesty, dedication and sincerity, the Speaker said that the employees who perform their duties with utmost honesty and dedication get tranquility and are honoured. He asked the officers to follow and seek guidance from Seerat-ul-Nabi in performance of their duties.

Speaker Asad Qaiser said that government employees should utilize their energy with positive thinking to bring relief to the people, solve their problems and to get the country a dignified place in the comity of Nation. He said that the present government was taking steps on priority basis to strengthen the country's institutions through reforms. He said that government officials should work hard adopt austerity measures and ensure that the tax money collected from the public be spent on public welfare work sagaciously.

Earlier, Additional Secretary Legislation National Assembly gave a detailed briefing to the trainee officers on structure and functions of National Assembly and its standing committees, legislative procedures and other related issues.

 Chief Instructor Services Academy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa thanked the Speaker for giving the trainee officers the opportunity to visit the Parliament House and a detailed briefing  to the participant on legislative procedures and other issues.
