The Standing Committee on Housing and Works opined that Ministry of Housing and Working initiated the Thallian project without any preparation as there were many issues.

2.         The Standing Committee on Housing and Works met today i.e. 31st January, 2018, under the Chairmanship of Mian Abdul Mannan, in Committee Room No.07, Parliament House, Islamabad.

3.         The Committee discussed the problems being faced by the National Assembly employees for allotment of Government accommodation. The Committee once again took serious a notice on the non-allotment of Government accommodation to Constitutional Bodies, especially for Senate and National Assembly employees.

4.         The Director General, Housing Foundation briefed the Committee about Bhara Kahu and Thallian projects.  He told the Committee that Bhara Kahu project was under consideration by the Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan due to some reasons. The Committee also decided that projects of Bhara Kahu and Thallian would be discussed again in its next meeting to be convened on 9th February, 2018.

5.         The Director General, Housing Foundation further briefed the Committee regarding G-13 Sector project. He told the Committee that there will be constructed 15 storey building. The Booking policy was adopted i.e 75% government officials with the payment of 4000 per square foot and 25% private members with the payment of 8000 per square foot. He added that government employees have been given subsidy in this project. 

6.         The meeting was attended by Rana Zahid Hussain Khan, Sahibzada Faiz-ul-Hassan, Mr. Nasir Iqbal Bosal, Ms. Tahira Auranzeb, Ms. Khalida Mansoor, Mrs. Shahida Rehmani, Mr. Faqir Sher Muhammad Bilalani, Mr. Sajid Nawas and Engineer Muhammad Usman Badini, MNA besides the senior officer from Ministry of Housing and Works.
