Karachi 28th September, 2017 Meeting of the Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat held in Airport Security Force (ASF), Headquarter, Karachi this Morning with Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan, MNA in the chair.

The Committee expressed strong displeasure that concern agencies were unable to stop the smuggling of Narcotics through PIA flights despite repeated directions due to mis-management and lack of coordination among themselves. Moreover, concern agencies were using delaying tactics to finalize inquiry reports against Narcotics smugglers which encouraging them to do so. The Committee therefore, directed that Security Incharge, PIA may be suspended immediately as he was unable to stop the frequent smuggling through PIA flights. The Committee further directed that ASF may develop proper coordination among the agencies working on similar grounds to stop the smuggling of Narcotics through National carrier which is damaging the prestige of Pakistan internationally. The Committee further directed that ASF may take stringent measures to prevent Airports from terrorists attacks.   

The meeting was attended by Ch. Khalid Javaid Warraich, MNA, Malik Ibrar Ahmed, MNA, Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, MNA, Mr. Rasheed Ahmed Khan, MNA, Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, MNA, , Moulvi Agha Muhammad, MNA, Syed Ali Raza Abidi, MNA, Ms. Seema Mohiuddin Jameeli, MNA, Ms. Nafeesa Inayatullah Khan Khattak, MNA, Ms. Parveen Masood Bhatti, MNA, Ms. Shehnaz Saleem, MNA, Ms. Nighat Parveen Mir, MNA and senior officers of the concerned Ministries/departments.
