Islamabad; May, 22, 2017: Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker and Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Deputy Speaker National Assembly have congratulated the newly elected office bearers of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) Dastoor.

In their separate congratulatory messages to the newly elected President of PFUJ Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Raza, (Islamabad) Secretary General, Mr.Sohail Afzal, (Karachi) Senior Vice President, Mr. Yasim Khan, (Lahore) Vice Presidents Mr. Akhter Imran, (Karachi)  Mian Saleem Shahid, (Faisalabad)  Mr.Shakeelur Rehman, ( Multan) Raja Muhammad Mehtab Ashraf, (AJK) and other office bearers,  the Speaker and Deputy Speaker extended their warmest felicitation on their success. They said that their election was an evidence of trust and confidence of Journalist fraternity reposed in them.

The Speaker and Deputy Speaker expressed hope that newly elected representatives of PFUJ Dastoor will utilize their capabilities to resolve the problems faced by the journalist community and freedom of press. The Speaker and Deputy Speaker said that freedom of expression was essential for strengthening democracy in the country. They were confident that  during the tenure of the present leadership of PFUJ Dastoor the relations between the Government and Press will become more cordial. They prayed for their success during their tenure.
