Islamabad, 13th April, 2017: A meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges was held today at 2:00 am in Committee Room of PIPS, Parliament Lodges, Islamabad under the Chairmanship of Mr. Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, MNA.

2.      On the Question of Privilege of raised by Ch. Abid Raza, MNA regarding stopping the Hon. Member to travel abroad by an official at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, the Committee directed the Secretary, Aviation Division to probe into the matter and report to the Committee within fifteen days.
 

3.      The Committee pended the Motions of amendments moved by Dr. Arif Alvi, Dr. Shireen Mehrunnisa Mazari and Ms. Naeema Kishwar, MNAs in rules 118 and 120 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007.
 

4.      The Committee disposed of the Questions of Privileges moved by Ms. Shahida Akhtar Ali and Mr. Imran Zafar Leghari, MNAs.
 

5.      The Committee re-constituted the Sub-Committee under the convenership of Mr.Raza Hayat Harraj, MNA with the same composition and terms of reference on the Question of Privilege of Rana Muhammad Afzal, MNA against Mr.Noor Ul Amin Mangal, Ex.DCO, Faisalabad.
 

6.      The Committee confirmed the minutes of its previous meeting held on 28-3-2017. The Committee also decided to hold its next meeting on 27-4-2017 in the Parliament House.
 

7.      The meeting was attended by Chaudhary Mahmood Bashir Virk, Mr. Najaf Abbas Sial, Mr. Muhammad Raza Hayat Harraj, Mr. Muhammad Arshad Khan Leghari, Mr. Azhar Qayyum Nahra, Mr. Abdul Majid Khan Khanankhail, Sheikh Muhammad Akram, Mr.Mumtaz Ahmed Tarar, Nawab Muhammad Yousuf Talpur, Ms. Shagufta Jumani, Mr. Gulzar Khan and Mr. S.A Iqbal Quadri MNAs/Members. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Arif Ali and Ch. Abid Raza MNAs/Movers.
