The NA Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat meets

Islamabad; 2nd March, 2017 Meeting of the Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat held in Parliament House, Islamabad this Morning with Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan, MNA in the chair. 

The Committee discussed the budgetary proposals of Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) of the financial year 2017-18 relating to Cabinet Division, Establishment Division and Capital Administration & Development Division (CA&DD) and their attached departments. The Committee directed that all policies might be devised keeping in view the ground realities instead of estimated figures in order to bring their benefits at gross root level. The Committee appreciated all the proposals of the Divisions however, directed that concerned authorities may ensure the completion of ongoing projects before initiating new projects and also ensure equality among all provinces while making new policies to bring their benefits across the country. The Committee therefore, unanimously passed the budgetary proposals of PSDP of Cabinet Division, Establishment Division and CA&D Division of the upcoming financial year 2017-18.
 
 The Committee expressed displeasure over the failure of Lever Transplant project, PIMS which was started in 2010 with the total cost of Rs. 200 Million but could not be functional due to lack of planning and mis-management. The Committee directed that the management of PIMS may take stringent measures to make it functional within three months and report to the Committee.

 The meeting was attended by Mr. Rasheed Ahmed Khan, MNA, Malik Ibrar Ahmed, MNA, Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, MNA, Syed Javed Ali Shah, MNA, Moulvi Agha Muhammad, MNA, Syed Ali Raza Abidi, MNA, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, MNA Ms. Parveen Masood Bhatti, MNA, Dr. Mehreen Razzaq Bhutto, MNA, Ms. Shehnaz Saleem, MNA, Ms. Nighat Parveen Mir, MNA, and senior officers of the concerned Ministries/departments.
