Islamabad, the 8th December, 2016: The Standing Committee on Planning, Development and Reform met today at Office of the Chief Executive Officer, Neelum Jhelum Hydro Power Project (NJHPP) Muzaffarabad (AJK) under the Chairmanship of Mr. Abdul Majeed Khan Khanan Khail, MNA.

The Committee visited different sites of the Neelum Jhelum Hydro Power Project (NJHPP) and monitored the physical progress of the project. The Committee was apprised that the Neelum Jhelum Project will be operational by December, 2017

The Committee directed that all efforts be made to complete the project in line with the given time frame 

MNAs, Ms. Shaheen Shafiq, Mrs. Shamas-un-Nisa, Mr. Junaid Akbar, Mr. Qaiser Jamal and Sheikh Salahuddin attended the meeting, besides officials of Ministry of Planning, Development & Reform and Ministry of Water & Power.
