PRIME MINISTER / LEADER OF THE HOUSE

Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Member of the National Assembly has been elected as Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan by the members of the National Assembly having secured 244 votes in the session of the National Assembly held on June 5, 2013.

Nawaz Sharif has become the first person to be elected to the office of Prime Minister for a third time.

"Leader of the House" means the Prime Minister.

The Honourable Muhammad Nawaz Sharif  was sworn in as Prime Minister of Pakistan on June 5, 2013.
